Support the Doug Rodriguez for Redondo Beach City Council 2017 campaign!

rb-leo-2Doug has been endorsed by the Redondo Beach Firefighters Association and the Redondo Beach Police Officers’ Association in his bid for the District 2 City Council seat this March.

He has been supportive of the residents and makes sure that our viewpoint is given careful consideration.

We have watched Doug over the last two years in his role on the Redondo Beach Planning Commission, first as a commissioner and now as the chairperson. He is knowledgeable about planning and building issues and brings his expertise to the Commission. Doug puts a lot of time and effort into researching and preparing for the projects that come before the Planning Commission. He is persistent and is willing to ask tough questions to get at specifics. He has been supportive of the residents and makes sure that our viewpoint is given careful consideration.

Some words that describe Doug are: approachable, fair, supportive, knowledgeable, low key, dedicated, and a hard worker.

We believe these qualities will transfer well as a City Council member and we endorse his candidacy.

Doug has a long successful record of involvement in community events.

My wife and I are fortunate to have been friends and neighbors with Doug and his family for the past 20 years.  We have been in each others homes and worked jointly on local projects.  Doug has a long successful record of involvement in community events.  He has been active in Neighborhood Watch, Annual Block Parties, Emergency Preparedness, and served as a Planning Commissioner.  I’ve spoken with Doug many times about city issues and know his concern for the future and quality of life in Redondo.  Doug is the type of person who listens to his neighbors and works to find the best answer for city issues.  Without reservation, I endorse Doug’s campaign for City Council District 2.

…he will make the right decisions for the residents of Redondo Beach.

I have known Doug Rodriguez for over 20 years. I can say without hesitation that he is a man of integrity. When he says he’s going to do something, he follows through. When he makes decisions, he thinks things through and does not react impulsively. As a community leader, I certainly would trust his judgement and know he will represent the residents of Redondo Beach in the best possible way.  He has always been a community advocate.  He has participated in CERT and the citizens police academy.  I trust he will make the right decisions for the residents of Redondo Beach.

Doug…cares about the community as a whole.

I met Doug when our sons were younger, and we coached Little League together. I got the initial – and lasting – impression that Doug is a sincere family man that cares about our community as a whole. His involvement since then, including CERT and the RB Planning Commission, have further solidified that impression. I was glad to have Doug on our team many years ago, and can still say the same thing today!
